Razzle Dazzle is one of Randles particular interests. He has embarked on an extended series of large canvas paintings exploring ground and field in the abstract using Razzle Dazzle as an object abstraction to reach a Trompe L'Oeil means to the end.

There was a time when I was interested in dragging nature
indoors to indemnify an ensemble of style –– fashion and color
theme; concerns about public opinion has grown through incestuous amplification
to reward the compliant aesthete leaving the definition of art to be decided
by the very cadre that requires enlightenment. The age of pretty things
for fuzzy people seems to have vanished, it's regrettable the aesthetics
of beauty are forgone for an untoward scattering of dishonesty exposing
the bankruptcy of contemporary art to direct society to any authentic
persuit.
No one would believe that I should be cleaning toilets but here in the
West with talent like this, I'm an Artist. Yes, the entrepreneurial spirit
infects the ambitious, the driven the savant, even the dissolute. As a
morality tale, Razzle Dazzle Sea Scape works to deliver a sense of wonder
while grounded to the rhyme of history and the rhythm of the brush strokes.
Finding Chi in a meditation of light and shadow is the essence of communication
––the meaning of life –– it's looking to the next
work that makes me so spiritual in this Trompe L'Oeil World.
